Pastor's sermon is based upon the gospel lesson from the second chapter of Luke. God chooses to live in this messy, difficult life and to take on a body with all its limitations and struggle and frailty. Jesus entered the world through the body of a human mother in that holy birth. God offers us the greatest mercy we could never have imagined, by putting himself at our mercy. And in our failure to care for him as we should, then and now, we fail to welcome him. And yet, he keeps returning to us in love. Amen!
