St. Thomas Lutheran Church is a congregation of the ELCA with both a rich heritage and a solid connection with our neighborhood and local community. We are located in the Hilton area of Chapin, which has seen many changes over the course of our congregation's 147 year history.
We believe in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the creator of all things; Jesus Christ is his only begotten Son, who promises forgiveness, life, and salvation; and the Holy Spirit, who breathes new life in us and makes us holy.
We believe that the Bible is the norm for faith and life - the true standard by which teachings and doctrines are to be judged. There are two sacraments, Baptism and Holy Communion, which we believe to be central to our identity as Christians.
