John 14:1-14
Fifth Sunday of Easter

Pastor's sermon is based on John 14:1-14. We followers of The Way have an unconventional way of seeing. We look for a word about God’s future that reshapes our imaginations about what is happening right now. The Word of God helps us to deal with everything in our world that is shifting and unknown and uncertain and scary and hard. Jesus reframes what is before us right now, in light of God’s dreams for a world made whole. Christians are called to recognize the in-breaking of the kingdom of God —a future that is already and not yet. We look for glimpses of signs and wonders of God’s reign. Through Jesus Christ, we understand that we have a place with God, and we strive to see the present in light of God’s future.
