Mark 10:32-45
Twenty-second Sunday after Pentecost

The sermon by Pastor  is based upon Mark 10:32-45. The disciples, James and John, lobby Jesus for positions of glory. Meanwhile, Jesus is beginning his funeral procession toward Jerusalem. The two disciples dream about lavish banquets celebrating Christ the King’s coronation. But what they don’t know at this point, is that they will eventually find two criminals on crosses next to Jesus, "one on his right and one on his left." That’s where God’s glory will take you—to a cross. The disciples ask for something they don’t really understand. Worldly glory includes honor, power, wealth, and riches. Jesus tells them that glory in the Christian life is all about being servants of all. Amen!
