The sermon by Pastor is based on the gospel reading. “Immediately they left their nets and followed him.” We wonder if the disciples already knew Jesus. We don’t know. In any case, now is the time to act! There are so many ways that we can follow Jesus. And, indeed, follow him immediately – here and now, in the world and at a time in which we live. It’s at the heart of what it means to be a Christian: to try to live and treat others as Jesus did, embracing the values of inclusiveness, love, forgiveness, and healing.
