Pastor’s sermon is based on the Gospel reading of John 1:29-42. Jesus says, “Come and See,” to two disciples of John the Baptist after the two men start following Jesus. They begin following Jesus by virtue of the witness and testimony of John, as well as John’s passion and zeal for Jesus. John declares Jesus to be: “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” Jesus ranks ahead of John, even though John had baptized Jesus earlier. Jesus, the Son of God, is the one on whom the Spirit of God descended and remained. Jesus is also the Holy One who offers us the kingdom, and a place to call home.
