The sermon by Pastor is based on the gospel lesson from Luke 6:20-31. As we hear the words of Jesus, it’s apparent how God’s standards are a lot different from the world’s standards. Following Jesus isn’t easy! Today we hear Jesus list a surprising series of blessings and woes, telling us of the dramatic reversals that will take place at the end of time. Jesus calls all of us willing to listen to love our enemies, and be God’s instruments to end cycles of hate and violence. We are also given the golden rule: “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”
