Luke 18:1-8
Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost

Pastor’s sermon is based on the gospel lesson of Luke 18:1-8. We are God’s chosen ones. We have been named and claimed by our baptism into Christ. We have been reborn children of God and inheritors of eternal life. With this kind of relationship, why not remain persistent in prayer to the God who loves us? Think about what the Bible tells us about the character of God. We have a God who is merciful and slow to anger. God loves justice and is abounding in steadfast love. God has so much love for us that God sent His only Son to die for the forgiveness of our sins. So, if even the unsavory judge will open up his hand to those who seek justice, how much more so will our Gracious Heavenly Father?
