Luke 15:1-10
Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost

Pastor’s sermon is based on the gospel lesson of Luke 15:1-10. You’ve got people all around you who seem to have it all together and yet, deep down, are just plain lost. And, at times, you may be one of them. Rest assured that our loving God has named you and claimed you through the holy waters of baptism. You are a beloved child of God, regardless of what you have done, what you are doing, or what you may someday do. God knows when you feel lost. And that goes for whether you consider yourself a sinner or a righteous person. You are invited to admit your lost-ness to God. You are free to confide your hopes and your fears, your dreams, and your dashed hopes to our tireless and loving God. Be confident that whenever you are counted among God’s lost and found, God will throw one heck of a party and invite all the angels to celebrate.
