Pastor's sermon is based upon the gospel reading from Luke 9:28-43a. In the Transfiguration Story, Luke is instructing us in the nature of worship. Jesus, himself, heads up the mountain in order to pray. Worship contains moments of reflection, immersion into the Word, and prayer. Through worship, we stay connected to God and others. We worship in order to embrace our callings in the world and to respond to the needs of God’s beloved children with renewed energy, confidence, and determination.
