Pastor's sermon is based upon the epistle reading from 1 Corinthians, where Paul's description of love sounds a lot like God. And why not? God is love. And God's love is not so much a warm and fuzzy feeling or even an attitude. In this scriptural setting, love builds up community. It does something. Real love has no awareness of merit or demerit. It doesn’t try to balance giving and receiving. We Christians may disagree about some things, but there can be no disagreement about how essential the presence of God’s love is in the life of a Christian. Amen!
