Pastor's sermon is based upon the Gospel lesson from Luke and the Old Testament lesson from Nehemiah. God’s people are sustained through the power of God’s word. Through the scriptures, we see a picture of Israel, and then the church, at our best. God’s people gather. We become silent and attentive, submitting to the reading and interpretation of God’s word. Here we are at the core of our faith, the dynamic that maintains God’s people as God’s people.
