Pastor's sermon is based on the call story of Isaiah that is found in our first scripture reading. Isaiah is called by God and set apart to later announce the Lord’s promises to the people of God. When the coal from the altar touches his lips, the seraph declares Isaiah to be made Holy. It is then that God calls this prophet Isaiah into His service. It may remind us of Holy Communion, wherein the bread and wine touch our lips and we are forgiven and made holy, and then sent out to serve the Lord. Amen!
