Pastor's sermon is based on the Gospel lessons from both John and Matthew. Palm Sunday is a time for celebration. It is also a time to probe the deeper meaning of this special day. For along with our quaint pageantry, we appeal directly to God from the most vulnerable places inside of us. And it bubbles to the surface, almost beyond our control, "Hosanna, save us!" This leads to three deep questions: “Does God respond to our cries? And does God actually DO anything to save us? And IF God can save us, how can God do it?” Those are tough questions to answer, and they are involved within the mystery of this coming Holy Week. We are invited to explore this mystery as we journey with Jesus from Palm Sunday to Maundy Thursday to Good Friday, and finally to Easter. Amen.
