Luke 10:1-11,16-20
Fourth Sunday after Pentecost

If we want to improve as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, we’ll need to get good at giving help and receiving help. We can all use an extra set of eyes to see what we don't see. It’s important to have insights that we can’t come up with on our own. It is essential to encourage one another. Jesus doesn’t expect us to do all by ourselves anything he commands. The Lord knows our limits and our frailties. Still, Jesus calls us. But Jesus warns us not to attempt God’s work on our own. Jesus gives us fellow Christians to bolster us; encourage us; critique us; thereby enabling us to be more faithful together, than we could be on our own. Amen!
